Memories

I stood there in the rain
I smiled and wished you well
The water drenched me
It was cold, heavy and gloomy

A droplet of rain caught my lip
It tasted salty, unusual for me
From the corner of my eye
It streaked the margin of my face
How unusual! i remarked and sighed

God sent me salty rain today
To cure the bitterness I taste in all I eat
To wet my body when the shower failed
To bathe me in acceptance of His plans

A shiver ran down my spine
Urgh! I closed my eyes
I felt better, a warmth filled from within
It shone from a small box
Called memories.
