Senget

Salam

I woke up today and gave my nose a rub. It was freaking cold, -12 degrees, but nonetheless, much warmer in my duvet. My nose started to become runny and it was a real problem. But there was something else.

Ouch! My nose still hurt from the football tournament I played in last weekend. Dragging my feet, I stood up and looked at the mirror, gazing at myself in horror.

I felt like I swallowed my heart. My nose has deviated slightly to the right.

The other day, I played as a defender. As I moved in to make a challenge, the opponent turned and handed me a full elbow swing into the bridge of my nose. Before I could take the next breath, my eyes watered, blood dribbled out and snot as well. In agony, I was substituted and ran out. Gave my nose a real good blow and all I got was a handful of blood. I wonder what the scientific name for bloody snot is. Not haemoptosis for sure. Anyway, it started to swell up and all I could do as I was numbed with pain was to pull my nose and moved it from side to side to ensure it was broken. But I didn't have a mirror or anything to see my reflection in. And at that very moment it started to swell up. Damn.

Now almost a week later, my nose still hurts but the swelling has died down. And now all I'm left with is this slightly shifted nose bridge. Is it really the nose bridge or is it the light?
